Lane 05 — Virtual selling
Sell the roof without driving to it.
We sell roofs virtually, to a standard that holds up against a rep at the kitchen table. Aerial measurements of the actual property, a produced presentation on your brand, and a proposal the homeowner can sign and finance in the same call.
- Virtual appointments
- Aerial measurement
- Produced presentation
- Signed on the call
The problem
Windshield time is your biggest hidden cost
A rep running three in-home appointments a day spends more of that day driving than selling. Add the ones where nobody was home, and the arithmetic gets worse. Virtual selling is not a lesser version of the in-home appointment — done to a real standard it removes the drive without removing the presentation.
- Two hours in the van for a forty-minute conversation
- No-shows that cost a whole slot, not a phone call
- Service areas capped by how far a rep will drive
- Out-of-area homeowners you turn away rather than quote
How it runs
Step by step, in order.
- 01
Measure the actual property
Aerial measurement of the real roof — pitch, squares, penetrations, waste — not an estimate from a photo. The number has to be defensible, because the homeowner is going to sign off a price built on it.
- 02
Produce the presentation
On your brand, with your products and your warranty. Produced properly rather than a screen-share of a spreadsheet, because this is doing the job the kitchen table used to do.
- 03
Run the appointment
A real sales appointment, to the same nine-step standard, over video. Build value, present options, condition the price, handle the objection — all of it, just without the drive.
- 04
Sign and finance on the call
A proposal the homeowner can sign and finance before the call ends, because a decision that gets deferred to 'we will think about it' is the one you lose.
What you get
- Aerial measurement of the actual property
- A produced presentation on your brand
- Virtual appointments run to the same nine-step standard
- Monthly payment shown, not just a total
- Signed in the call, not chased for a week
- Service area that is no longer capped by drive time
What we need from you
- Your product line, pricing and warranty positions.
- A financing option you are happy to present.
- Agreement on what you will and will not sell virtually.
- Somebody on your side to run production once volume justifies it.
Commercials
Scoped per engagement
Quoted after a scoping call, and usually run alongside appointment setting — the appointments we book are the ones it runs on. For companies with a wide service area this is typically the fastest change to margin we can make, because it converts drive time directly into selling time.

Before you ask us on a call.
Do homeowners really buy a roof over video?
They do when the appointment is run properly. The thing that closes is the presentation and the trust built in it, not the fact that somebody was physically in the room. Done badly it is worse than an in-home; done to a standard it converts.
What about storm and insurance work?
The inspection still has to happen on the roof, and the adjuster meeting still happens in person. Virtual selling fits retail replacement best, which is exactly where the drive time is hardest to justify.
Can our own reps run this?
Yes, and most should end up doing so. We run it end to end first, then train your team on it once it is working — the same order we use for everything else.
