About Stratify

Everyone selling you software now used to be a roofer.

That used to be the reassuring part. Now most of the newest contractor platforms are owned by roofing companies still operating in multiple states, or given away free by the supplier who sells you material. We came out of the trade too. The difference is what we went on to do next.

The difference

We have no other side of the table.

Stratify does not roof. We do not sell materials, we do not run crews in your market, and we do not take a percentage of your jobs. That matters more than it used to, because the obvious alternatives all have a second interest in your business: a platform owned by a roofing company that works in seven states has your customer list, and a free CRM from a distributor is paid for by the orders you place.

We are not the biggest system you could buy. We are the one with nothing else going on.

What we do have is the trade in the product. Software built by people who never sold a roof shows it in the places that matter — stage names that do not match how a job moves, a report that answers a question nobody asked, a workflow that assumes a homeowner behaves like a support ticket.

Stratify OS was built the other way round. The eleven stages are the stages we used. The speed-to-lead clock is set to the numbers we watched change close rate. The guard that blocks a contract against an expired licence exists because getting that wrong in Florida is not a bad afternoon, it is a felony.

That is also why the services exist alongside the software. A system does not book an appointment, work a dead database or coach a rep through an objection. We do those too, because the business only works when both halves are running.

How this started

I came from your side of the table.

Before any of this was a company it was a job. I started knocking doors at sixteen. I became the top sales rep at a Southwest Florida roofing company and helped scale it to four locations across the state — Fort Myers, Orlando, Palm Bay and Tallahassee.

That part most people selling to contractors have never done. They have never driven forty minutes to a house where nobody was home. They have never sat at a kitchen table and watched someone decide whether to trust them, and they have never driven home on the nights the answer was no.

What I kept hitting was not a lead problem. It was that everything good only happened when somebody remembered to make it happen. The estimate nobody chased. The no-show nobody rebooked. The job that sat in one stage for three weeks because it looked exactly like the one that moved yesterday. I was the automation — and that stops working the moment the company grows past the number of things one person can hold in their head.

So I built the opposite. A system that has an opinion about what has to be true before a job moves, puts a clock on the things that actually decide close rate, and refuses to let work go out wrong. Then I put the sales floor I had been running around it.

How we work

Four things we will not bend on.

01

You get a person, not a ticket

No ticketing-system theatre and no account manager who relays messages. When something breaks you talk to the person who built it, usually the same day.

02

Numbers every week, good or bad

You see what is open, what moved and what died. If a week was bad we tell you it was bad and what we are changing. Vanity dashboards are how software companies hide.

03

We say no

If your process is the problem, putting software on top of it just adds friction and your team will route around it within a fortnight. We will say that on the audit call rather than take the money.

04

We only guarantee what we control

The system, the standard and the appointment volume, in writing. Not close rates, not installs. Anybody guaranteeing those is promising you something that depends on your reps, your pricing and your reputation.

Who you deal with

One founder, direct line.

Founder

Stratify is mine. I scope the work, I run it, and I am in the weekly review with you. There is no account manager relaying messages between you and whoever actually knows the answer, and there is no support queue standing in for a conversation.

That is a deliberate constraint rather than a stage we have not grown out of. It means I take on the companies I can genuinely deliver for and say no to the ones I cannot — which is the second-best thing you can hear on an audit call, and better than finding out four months in.

I work with a small team on delivery: the people dialling, the people in your CRM, the people scoring calls. You will meet whoever is on your account. Nobody is hidden behind a brand voice.

Headquartered in Fort Myers, FL, working with contractors nationwide.
